ten years later - 10th January 2020:

I have always felt that me and my sons lost 5 years. This was evident when I reflected on where we were after ten years. Educationally they had managed to catch up, so educationally they were only affected at the outset - but then they caught up up and finished. It was more on a personal growth side that I noticed we had lost 5 years, without a doubt.

Without a father who would have shown them how to become men? they had to do it on their own. When we were finally able to sit and talk about him, it was such a revelation to me that the foundation of what it is to be responsible, hard working, prayerful and successful - he had taught them all that - what a great dad! So now we speak about him often and keep his memory alive.

We all deserve to be happy….

and that is the first decision I made - it was up to me, a deep personal choice of how I wanted my life would pan out. So choose to be HAPPY!

I can say that I finally feet free, healed a whole lot by 31st May 2020. 10 years!!! this may sound shocking but earlier in the book I had said that I lost my everything, best friend, lover, father of my children, business partner. My whole world had been shaken to the core. My loss was truly tragic.

So I needed to motivate myself. What do I love doing? I love painting, making jewellery, I would love to go on courses to increase my skills, go on a Royal Caribbean cruise and much more. What is your big picture?

What is the definition of failure / success?? Learn to forgive yourself in times when you fail.

We need to be bold to examine and re-define our measure of success. As a widow what should be the measure? Emotional stability? financial stability? If we are comfortable financially, a big burden is lifted so sign up for sessions with our Financial Coach.
